Mr Richard Jesse of Nottingham Court has gone to meet his maker. Born on July 14th, 1938 to Klaus Max and Martha Jesse. Those that went before him were his parents, wife Enid, brother Henry (Darlene) Jes- se, sister Norma Pearson, brother-in-law Roy Karr, and stepson Brian Shonk. Those that will be missing him in- clude sons Mark Jesse, Rex (Marsha) Jesse, along with stepson Russell Shonk, and stepdaughter Debbie Davis, sister Mabel Karr, 5 grand- children, 7 great-grandchil- dren, 4 great-great-grand- children, nieces and nephews and many great friends. Richards occupations were more numerous than the hairs on his head.

He start- ed at his restaurant, as a carhop and worked up to co-own- er, served his country in the National and not in any particular order: Cater- er, delivery driver, builder, furniture remod- eler and lawn service owner. With limited education Rich- ard had more knowledge and common sense then most college graduates. Richard was kind to all and loved an- imals. Arthur Ray Harper was born in Hutchinson, Kansas on September 4, 1940 to Lloyd and Edna (Vermillion) Harper. faithful Chris- tian, loving husband, caring father, fabulous grandfather and great-grandfather, won- derful brother, mentoring uncle, marvelous friend, master mechanic, and hot rod car enthusiast, left this earthly home for a better one in paradise. He transitioned peacefully at home sur- rounded by family on May 14, 2021. Born January 23, 1951, he was the fourth child and only son of Zeffer Lee Williams and LW Williams, Sr. His family nickname was LW was a Heavy Equip- ment Mechanic Supervisor and retired at the age of 49 from the City of Wichita on January 1, 2000 after thirty years of service. His many friends at the City of Wich- ita nicknamed him because he could any ail- ing equipment.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Zeffer Lee Williams and LW Williams sisters, Esta Lee Kelley and Willie Pearl Hayes. He leaves to cherish his precious memories his wife Caroline (his leading lady); sons, Ma- rio L. Williams and Mariess (Lashonda) Williams (who both share his love for hot rod cars); and daughter, Mar- la Williams (the love of his life); sister Joyce Caine; and a plethora of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends. www.thejacksonmortuary. com L.W. Williams Jr. January 23, 1951 May 14, 2021 Wichita, Kansas Betty Jane Bonard Wooten Qualls, took her last breath on Mon- day, April 26th, 2021 at the age of 96. It was the Eve of the Super Pink Moon, which will forever be a symbol of her great witness in life.

Betty, daughter of Floyd and Eva Bonard, was born and raised on a farm in Salt Fork, OK. Her great-grand- father, Nelson Martenson was a settler who contributed to the layout of Wichita by sketching it on a sugar sack. Jasper Bonard, her grand- father, was a cowboy who helped bring cattle down the Chisholm Trail. Betty graduated from Hunter High School in 1942 and the next day left the farm and moved to Wichita, KS gaining work at the Swan Diner. She mar- ried Rex Wooten in 1951 and gave birth to their only child, a daughter, Annette Wooten Topolinski, born in 1958.

Betty divorced in 1960. Over the next 48 years she worked two jobs. She was an Avon Sales woman 48 years and worked for Aeroparts, then Miro-Flex and retired from Hallum Tooling Co. Betty comes from a lineage of hard workers who perse- vere. Her determination and strength along with support from family and friends have helped her over come many challenges through the years including battling cancer in 2009.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Eva Bonard, sister, Nel- lie (Leland) Blackwell. She is survived by her daugh- ter, Annette Topolinski, her nephew Eddie (Gundel) Blackwell, grandchildren Ryan (Kim) Minor, Melanie (Jason) Denning, and her great-granddaughters, Cam- ryn Curfman, Bella Minor, Ellie and Kira Denning. Duncan, 90, passed away peacefully May 16, 2021 in Derby, KS at the Glenn Carr House Memory Care facility. He was born in Henryetta, OK, and raised in Miami, OK, to William Matthew Duncan and Sarah Ethel (Carroll) Duncan. He served 4 years in the Naval Seabees.

His family moved to Wichita, KS where he met and married Lois M. Wilcox in December of 1955. Lyn- dell worked for the City of Wichita Engineering Depart- ment for 30 years. He was an active member of Emporia Avenue Church of Christ. They lived in their home for 60 years where they raised their 3 daughters.

He was preceded in death by his par- ents; and sister, Betty Dun- can. Lyndell is survived by his wife of 65 years, Lois; his 3 daughters, Lynda (David) Engler of Basehor, KS, Jes- sica Duncan of Belle Plaine, KS, and Regina (Martin) Wells of Goddard, KS; his sister, U. Joan Duncan; his brother, M. Herbert (JoAnn) Duncan; and his 2 grand- daughters, Emily (Colin) Shaw and Natalie (Shawn) Verratti. A come and go viewing will be Thursday, May 20, 2021 from 5-8 p.m.

Family will be available for visitation from 1-2 p.m. Friday, May 21, 2021. The funeral service will be held on Friday at 2:00 p.m. at the Chapel at Resthaven Mor- tuary. In lieu of the family asks that you donate to the Kansas Honor Flight, Doc, and the American Dia- betes Association.

Lyndell Duncan July 25, 1930 May 16, 2021 Wichita, Kansas Harold D. Becker, 90, died Sunday at home. Harold was born in Minneapolis, KS. He was united in marriage to Vir- ginal Alice Thompson on June 9, 1950. This union was blessed with two sons, Kerry and Ronald.

After the death of Virginia in 1989, he mar- ried Donna (Hamm) Becker in 1992, who he met on a blind date so to speak. Har- old always wanted to learn to dance and that is where he met mom they were great together, other people would go to the sidelines and watch them dance they were so in tune with each other. He al- ways told her she was his sweetheart. They traveled to lots of places in their wheel that they had not been before and enjoyed every minute of it. He served in the United States Air Force and retired from Cessna Aircraft after 41 years.

He enjoyed gardening, taking care of their property, building chil- rocking chairs and upholstering furniture but most of all taking care of mom in every way that he could. Survivors include his wife Donna, two sons Kerry (Nancy) and Ron (Charleen), step-daughter Pat (Randall) Sewell, sister Phyllis Lewis, Olathe, KS, one grandson, 5 step-grandchildren, numer- ous step-great-grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father Wilfred Becker, step mother Eldora Becker, wife Virginia, grandson Charles Becker, step-son Gene Becker and his wife Ruby and numerous other relatives.
