Dallas man gets probation for stolen car chase through East TexasTYLER, Texas (KLTV) - A Dallas man got a probation sentence Monday morning for his involvement in a 2023 chase through East Texas in a stolen car. Everl Cardenas-Villanueva, 23, was one of three men arrested on Oct. 16 in Smith County. Cardenas-Villanueva was charged with unlawful carrying of a weapon, unlawful use of criminal instrument, evading arrest with a vehicle, unauthorized use of a vehicle, and possession of marijuana <2 ounces. He pleaded guilty to the evading charge in Judge Kerry L. Russell’s court on June 10, and was given five years’ probation with 160 hours of community service during his Monday sentencing hearing.
